Shengli was born in January 1987 and grew up in Fuyang, Anhui Province, China. He received his B.S. from Chuzhou University. In 2011, Shengli was admitted to Beijing University of Technology and studied under Professor Jihong Sun. In 2014, he obtained his master's degree. In 2015, Shengli entered the University of Science and Technology of China and joined Zhikun Wu's team to study for a doctor's degree, focusing on the synthesis and properties of gold nanoclusters. After obtaining his Ph.D. in 2018, he continued to stay in Wu group as a postdoctoral fellow. In February 2021, he joined the He group at the University of Hong Kong. His main research fields are centered on the synthesis of metal clusters and their catalytic organic chemistry. Outside of lab, Shengli likes watching movies and playing cards.
